Organization and Administration includes the implementation of an organization chart, job description for all positions, performance evaluation, goals and objectives, written policy and procedures, expense budgets and specific reports submitted to senior management that indicate financial and operational performance of store operations. The formalized training of store management candidates is included in this plan.
Sales Improvement Plan consists of goals and objectives to increase comparative sales, improve customer service and the use of customer satisfaction surveys. This plan also includes merchandising presentation and advertising methods. Shrinkage Improvement Plan enforces improving shrinkage through training and awareness programs. Implementation of an antitheft device if needed, internal merchandise theft, cash register procedures, faculty/staff discounts, analysis of store payroll expenses, minimizing losses due to customer checks, credit card fraud, refunds, voids and system for reporting markdowns. Operations Improvement Plan improves the efficiency of the merchandise flow from store to store delivery to sales floor placement, improving the function of store stockrooms, improving the current structure of the store to enhance customer service, create a career development path for employees, and to bring the payroll expense to a reasonable level. This plan improves the store markdown system and uses a third party shopping service which provides unannounced visits. Store Operations Loss Prevention Plan ensures that the company's shrinkage percentage and shrinkage dollar amount is at an acceptable level as compared to previous years. Also included in this plan would be the possible use of undercover store detectives, a refund confirmation program, coordination with P.O.S / I.C.S management which provide reports showing dollar amount and percentage of refunds, over-rings, under-rings, cash shortages / overages, employee purchases and refunds.
